The main goal of the project is to do research in recycling and processing technologies for post-consumer plastic material (polypropylene (PP) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) from the automotive sector so it can be recovered and reused in vehicles, promoting the circular economy.
CIKAUTXO has a leading role in the POSTAUTO project framework, and they are the primary coordinator of the consortium made up of UDOM, WALTER PACK, CLOSSA, INDART3D and MAIER. Likewise, to take on the technical challenges faced by the consortium, every member has the backing of specialised technology or business R&D centres, like GAIKER, CIKATEK, MTC, INATEC, CIDETEC, LEARTIKER and LEARTIBAI Fundazioa.
The project is co-financed by the Basque government and the European Union through the 2021-2027 European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
