This project has been financed through assistance for activities integral to the electric and connected vehicle industrial chain within the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation for Developing Connected Electric Vehicles (CEV PERTE), in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union and managed by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

[EVALUA – PP25] Is a study about recovering metal fractions contained in the black mass generated after the mechanical processing of electric vehicle batteries at OTUA (Dossier VEC-020100-2022-126)

The EVALUA project studies the way to increase the efficiency of classifying metal content in the black mass mixture using technologies based in differences in the colour of the pieces in the mixture. Different options for conditioning black mass to improve separability and be able to recover metals with gradations in purity and quality are researched in the project.

Industrial company Reydesa Recycling and the Inatec Foundation, which are both part of the OTUA business group, collaborated on the project.
